Information we collect

• Account information — name, email, and authentication details (handled by our auth provider, Clerk).
• Content you enter — guest names, notes, links, and other prep inputs you provide to generate research and questions.
• Mobile phone number — only if you opt in to SMS notifications (see below).
• Billing information — subscriptions are processed by PayPal; we do not store your card details.
• Usage data — basic logs and analytics needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, generate the research and content you request, process payments, communicate with you about your account, and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

SMS / mobile information

PodPrepper uses mobile numbers only for low-volume, transactional SMS (never marketing): (1) account notifications to an account owner who has opted in, and (2) one-to-one podcast guest coordination, where a host who booked a guest texts them a prep-questionnaire link and up to two reminders for a scheduled appearance. Details are on our SMS opt-in page. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties. Information may be shared only with the service providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages you requested (e.g., our messaging carrier).

Service providers

We rely on trusted processors to run the Service, including Vercel (hosting), Upstash (data store), Clerk (authentication), PayPal (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS), and AI providers used to generate content. These providers process data only as needed to perform their function.

Data retention & your choices

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and you may unsubscribe from communications at any time.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
